With the introduction of the all-new Qolsys IQ5 family of products comes the modular, cost-effective IQ5 Hub. The IQ5 Hub system removes some of the expensive physical additions to the IQ5 flagship models to reduce cost while still offering an incredibly advanced wireless alarm system. The IQ5 Hub, similar to its IQ4 Hub predecessor, comes without the portrait view panel camera included on regular IQ5 systems. This also means the IQ5 Hub does not include the built-in panel motion and glass break detectors. However, with the IQ5 family's advancements in PowerG + technology, the IQ5 Hub has a distinct advantage over the previous Hub variants. With all IQ5 systems, PowerG + technology is built directly into the main circuit board of the system, which opens up 2 daughter card slots on the IQ5 Hub. One daughter card slot can be used to incorporate secondary SRF wireless frequency cards, which allow the system to take over existing wireless installations with minimal effort and cost. On top of that, the second daughter card slot can be used for an Ethernet daughter card, giving you the ability to directly wire the system to your home router for IP communication. Optional SRF daughter cards for the IQ5 Hub include a 319MHz card for Qolsys S-Line devices, a 345MHz card for legacy Honeywell sensors, and a 433MHz card for legacy DSC sensors. In addition, having PowerG + embedded into the IQ5 Hub provides additional benefits, such as 4x the available wireless range, and all of the new PowerG + features work seamlessly with the IQ5 Hub system out of the box.
Utilizing the new Qualcomm Dragonwing processor, the IQ5 Hub now offers up to 32GB of NAND internal memory. In addition, the upgrade to the new Android 14 operating system makes the already simple and reliable user interface of the IQ panels even more responsive. With the embedded PowerG + technology, the IQ5 Hub can now support up to 100 PowerG Automation devices on top of the 167 Z-Wave devices it was already capable of. The IQ5 line of systems now also supports Z-Wave Long Range, meaning pairing devices and getting a reliable connection for Z-Wave is easier than ever at even further distances. For security sensors of either PowerG (+) or SRF frequencies, the IQ5 Hub can handle up to 128 zones across 4 partitions if need be. As normal, up to 242 User codes can be saved on an IQ5 Hub at one time, offering plenty of user access for homes and businesses. When paired with PowerG Wired-to-Wireless converters, the IQ5 Hub can also support up to 80 hardwired zones across up to 2 converters. For additional keypads, up to 4 IQ Remotes may be paired to the IQ5 Hub via WiFi and PowerG.
The IQ5 Hub utilizes a dual-path cellular and IP communicator for connecting to Alarm.com services. The IQ5 Hub comes in either an AT&T model (this product) or a Verizon model, so you can choose the best signal provider for your location. For the IP connection, the IQ5 Hub uses Wi-Fi by default, and supports both 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual band, so you can get the best Wi-Fi connection possible for the location of your system and router. In addition, as mentioned, if you would prefer a hardwired IP connection, the IQ5 Hub systems can be outfitted with the Ethernet daughter card. When using Alarm.com services, the IQ5 Hub can be set up for self-monitoring via the Alarm.com app alone, or you may connect the system to professional monitoring through a Central Station for dispatching on alarms.
