The DSC-PGP-IO9 is an incredibly versatile wireless device from the new PowerG + lineup. Using the PGP-IO9 allows you to wire up to 4 different devices to be used as either inputs or outputs with a compatible alarm system. There are numerous ways to utilize the PGP-IO9, including general-purpose automation. As a wireless PowerG + device, it offers exceptional range, so you can set it up wherever you may need it. By default, the PGP-IO9 offers two inputs and 2 outputs; however, all 4 terminal sets can be configured as inputs if desired. When using the PGP-IO9 for inputs, each input may be configured as any of the basic EOL settings: Normally Closed, Normally Open, EOL (with a resistor), or Double EOL (2 resistors). When an input circuit has been triggered, the PGP-IO9 generates a message on your alarm system to notify you that the connected device(s) have been triggered.  

When using the PGP-IO9 configured with two inputs and two outputs, the outputs may be used to trigger external devices with dry-contact control inputs. Outputs may be used to create wireless triggers for applications such as automation for lights and garage doors, or you may configure the outputs to trigger on an alarm state so that when a smoke detector goes off, it triggers your fire suppression system. Both open-loop outputs on the PGP-IO9 are capable of putting out up to 1 Amp of current at 15VDC when activated. Outputs are assigned as PGMs within the system programming, and may be configured similarly to wired PGMs on the DSC or IQ systems.
