  1. Enter programming on the working keypad: *8-installer code.
  2. Enter 902.
  3. It should already be on subsection 000 so you can press * or enter 000. It will go through and automatically enroll any keypads and modules to the next available slot on the system.

How do I program a hardwired zone?

Part 1: Zone Type Assignments [001] [001-128]
The first part of programming hardwired zones is to tell the system how that zone will function. For a full list of zone types, go to page 7 of your installation guide. Some of the most common zone types are:

  • 000 – Null Zone: For zones that are not in use.
  • 001 – Delay 1: Used for an entry point to allow time to disarm the system.
  • 002 – Delay 2: Same as delay 1, but can be set to a different delay length if a keypad is located further away for example.
  • 003 – Instant: Used on perimeter non-entry points to instantly trip the alarm.
  • 005 – Interior Stay/Away: Used for interior motion detectors that need to be disabled when the system is armed in stay mode to allow free movement without setting off the alarm. Otherwise this zone type will cause an instant alarm unless an entry door with a delay is accessed first.
  • 008 – Standard Fire
  1. From programming (*8-installer code), enter section 001.
  2. It will ask for a 3 digit zone number. Enter the zone number that you are programming. Or scroll to it and press *.
  3. After entering the zone number it will display the current zone type assignment. Enter the 3 digit zone type code.
  4. It will automatically go to the next zone. Repeat this process for every zone that you are installing.
  5. Press # twice to be ready for the next part.

Part 2: Zone Assignment [201] [001-016]
You now need to assign which zones are active on your system.

  1. Enter section 201.
  2. Then enter 001 to view the first 8 zones, 002 to view zones 9-16, 003 to view zones 17-24, etc.
  3. Use the toggle options in each of these to turn on or off the zones that we need. It will display a ‘Y’ for active zones and an ‘N’ for zones that are off. You can scroll through and turn on any zones that you need to.
  4. Press # and repeat steps 2 and 3 as needed. Or press # twice to exit out of programming. - Back To Top

How do I program a wireless zone?

Programming for a wireless zone, or any other wireless device, is done completely in one section. Going into multiple programming sections for wireless programming, as was necessary for the previous generation, is a thing of the past with the NEO. The following steps are specifically for wireless zones, but other devices will be enrolled in much the same way.

  1. Use *8-installer code to go into programming mode.
  2. Enter section 804 to go to wireless programming.
  3. Enter 000 to go to enroll devices. The screen will display: Enroll now or entr.
  4. Press and hold the enroll button on your PowerG device. Once the LED turns on, release the enroll button. Or manually enter the serial number and press * then skip to step 6.
  5. The keypad should display the device’s serial number. Press * to confirm that it is correct.
  6. Enter the 3 digit zone number for the zone that you want to assign the device to.
  7. Enter the 3-digit zone type.
  8. Make sure that a ‘Y’ is displayed for Partition 1. You can toggle it by pressing *.
  9. Enter #. It will then ask for a zone label if you are using an LCD keypad. You can program the zone label now if you would like using the zone label programming instructions which can be found in the keypad manual. Or you can enter # again to go back to the beginning of the wireless enrolling process.
  10. Repeat for all wireless devices. - Back To Top

How do I change the entry and exit delays?

The NEO can have 2 entry delay times and 1 exit delay. With the CP01 standards for false alarm reductions, the entry delays can not be lower than 30 seconds while the exit delay has to be 45 seconds or longer. The system cannot go higher than 255 seconds for any delay. Use the following steps to program the delay times.

  1. *8-installer code
  2. Enter section 005.
  3. Enter 001 to go to partition 1 timers.
  4. Enter Delay 1 timer. 030-255
  5. Enter Delay 2 timer. 030-255
  6. Enter Exit timer. 045-255
  7. Press # a few times to exit out. - Back To Top

  2. Enter section 006.
  3. Go to subsection 001 to change the installer code, if desired.
  4. Enter the new 4 digit code.
  5. Go to subsection 002 to change the master code.

  5. Press # to exit. - Back To Top
