Uplink 5500ATT Universal LTE AT&T Cellular Communicator
The Uplink 5500ATT is a universal cellular communicator that can be used to send alarm signals to a central station monitoring service. This transmits signals via the AT&T cellular network. The 5500ATT can be connected to an alarm system's bell terminals. Depending on the way the siren pulses; it will send a simple burglary or fire signal. It can also be hooked up to trip from a 12V trigger. This would be used, for instance, if you wanted to have a single switch trigger the cellular communicator instead of having it hooked to an alarm system. An example of this would be using a flood switch to trigger the radio to send a signal. Not only can this be used for communicating with a central station monitoring company but it can also be activated just to send you messages via email / sms text alerts (by using your phone's email address).
The 5500ATT is compatible for use with the 3G and LTE 4G networks and transmits signal over the 850 &1900 MHz frequency bands. The communicator can report in the following formats: Contact ID, SIA, Pulse 4/2 and Modem IIe/IIIa2. The 5500ATT can be powered off of the alarm systems power or you can use a 12V power supply. There is no included 12V power supply so you will have to source that yourself if that's the way you choose to power the 5500ATT.
The 5500ATT has 4 inputs. Input 1 can be used for the siren hookup and inputs 2-4 can be used for the 12V trigger mentioned above. This cellular radio also features 2 outputs that can be used to initiate a communications trouble signal back to the alarm system or they can be used to trigger other devices in the installation area.
The communicator measures 4.75 x 3.3 x 1.3 Inches and operates off of 12V DC power. It draws 500 mA upon transmission and a 28 mA standby draw. This is a great, simple choice for alarm communications.
