Alarm.com LX30B-Q50TU-AUC 4G Universal Communicator With Smart Connector
The Alarm.com LX30B-Q50TU-AUC (AUC for short) is a universal communicator that brings Alarm.com service to a vast number of dated alarm systems that would otherwise have limited communication options as analog phone lines slowly die out. The AUC is able to connect to the POTS phone line outputs of these alarm systems, allowing the AUC to forward your alarm signals to a monitoring center via AT&T cellular service. This allows almost any security system with a serviceable phone line output, including discontinued systems, a communication option that keeps up with modern demands. It also allows the award-winning Alarm.com Interactive service app to be used to issue arming commands to the alarm system, along with providing notifications about events to the end user. While the AUC does not offer the "full" Alarm.com system experience that integrated communicators do, its exceptionally low price point makes it a great option for modernizing your older system.
The AUC offers various installation methods depending on what alarm system it will be utilized with, and below, you will find a full list of system instructions for installing the AUC on compatible systems. For most alarm systems, the basic connections will be power and the phone line wiring, which are essential for communicating with Alarm.com and a monitoring center. Alarm systems that offer key switch arming/disarming through a set of zone terminals can be set up for remote arming commands. In addition, the AUC offers several I/O (input/output) terminals which can be used for various functionalities depending on the alarm system it is being used with. The AUC also offers an "ACM" terminal, which can be wired to your system's or power supplies' AC terminals to monitor for AC power outages. The LX30B-Q50TU-AUC is still quite new at the time of writing this description, so there are additional terminals you will see on the unit that have no use just yet. Most of these are meant for a purpose that has yet to be integrated with the units, but as with all Alarm.com equipment, as they update the units, we will update our information to add any new features that come out.
