Hello, Have some 2 wire smokes and they are programmed into PGM 2. Is there a way to make the main bell output steady? The horn strobes are getting a pulsed bell when smokes go into alarm. On the standard fire zones (pull station) I have them programmed to be a steady output. So, H/S work fine. Seems as if the PGM 2 follows the default bell as either 1 sec on 1 sec off or faster pulsed. When PGM 2 type is 104 I don't see other options just fire zone and latching.
No, fire alarms are meant to have a pulsed output for the sirens to differentiate it from a burglary alarm. Depending on code where you're located you probably also need the pull stations set to a pulsing siren as well.

In my area, smoke detectors must trigger all other smoke detectors in the building (along with requiring each one to have its own sounder). If I have some of these on different zones, will this type of triggering happen? Additionally, if some smokes are in another partition (an attached rental unit) will this still happen and will both partitions be able to silence the whole system in the event of an alarm?
When using a reversing relay to make all smokes sound off, all smokes that will be triggered together will have to be connected to the same zone. If you have enough outputs on the system you can set up multiple reversing relays however for multiple smoke zones.
When partitioning, most systems offer a global keypad option, or a way to access other partitions through a single keypad so you could disarm multiple partitions, but generally not all at once.

No, the COSMOD module is not designed to incorporate heat detectors.

Can I add a single 2WTA-B on the same 2 wire loop as 5 other 2WT-B smokes?
Yes, you can. Just ensure you move the required resistor on the last smoke in the chain if you add it at the end.

No, none of the system sensor wired smokes have batteries in them.

We're often asked which type we recommend, 2 wire type or 4 wire type. If you are going to have only a few and they will all be on one level, we recommend 2 wire type.
