Qolsys IQ4 Hub PowerG Wireless

The Qolsys IQ4 Hub is a more cost-effective version of the full-feature IQ Panel 4 alarm system. By trimming down some of the more expensive features, the IQ4 Hub will help you get a beautiful touchscreen alarm system in your home for less, while providing the same level of security to your home or business as the acclaimed IQ Panel 4. Unlike the IQ Panel 4 the IQ4 Hub only supports a single RF wireless card, which in this case, is the DSC PowerG wireless card. This means you'll need all PowerG wireless devices, however, PowerG is easily the most prominent and highest-performing wireless for alarm systems on the market currently. PowerG also offers the largest amount of sensor and device options in general meaning you can cover your house from any type of threat. The IQ 4 Hub can accept up to 128 wireless security sensors across up to 4 partitions, no matter what type. The IQ4 Hub also supports up to 242 user codes for commercial environments. Other features left off of the IQ Hub are the built-in front-facing camera, the onboard glass break detector, and the onboard motion sensor. It is also not compatible with IQ base speaker. While these can be handy, a large majority do not use these features as designed anyway for standard alarm system use.

The IQ4 Hub, while minimizing some features still sits as a top performer in terms of security and user-friendliness. Operating on a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 core processor and Android operating system, the IQ4 Hub keeps things simple and fast. The 7" touchscreen for the system is incredibly easy to become familiar with and programming for DIYers is as simple as an alarm system can get. It comes with both a built-in speaker offering an 85dB siren from the panel, as well as a microphone for the live video calls mentioned above. For additional keypads, Qolsys offers the IQ remote which gives a similar feel to the touchscreen on the main unit and allows all user-level access. In the event that you need or want some hardwired sensors in addition to the wireless offered, the IQ4 Hub can be used with the PG9WLSHW8 and PG9HRDW8 translators allowing you to connect wired sensors to your panel wirelessly. The IQ4 Hub also comes packed with a 24-hour Lithium Polymer backup battery for coverage in power outages.

The IQ4 Hub has an Alarm.com dual-path cellular (AT&T or Verizon SIM) and wifi communicator, and Z-wave controller, built into the panel, and when connected to Alarm.com service it brings out the IQ4 Hub's full potential. This allows you to use Alarm.com's Interactive plans to remotely control the system and receive notifications of events that occur on the system. In addition, with Alarm.com's automation plans, you will be able to add up to 137 Z-wave devices separated by type: 80 lights, 20 Locks, 10 Thermostats, 21 Misc, 6 Garage Doors. Once these Z-wave devices are connected you can then automate them through Alarm.com's app or computer portal. These can be used to make your life easier, or if you're energy conscious help you minimize your footprint. You'll even be able to view cameras and answer live video doorbell calls through your IQ4 Hub when utilizing Alarm.com's cameras and video service.
