Ask a Question
  • Vista 20P 6160 alpha programmable LCD keypad: I will need 2 LCD keypads. 1.) Will that pose any technical difficulties? 2.) I additionally want to confirm the wire for the key pad: 22 gauge 2 wire also for the keypad? 3.) Lastly for sounders and sirens, that will also be 22 gauge 2 wire?

You can have multiple keypads on a system. Each just has to be addressed in programming.
    Keypads use 22/4 wire.
Sirens do use 2 conductors. 22ga is fine for indoor sirens. 18ga is generally recommended for outdoor models.

  • Can the 1 - 1321-1 Transformer (16.5VAC 25VA) be plugged into 220v? Thanks

    No it cannot.

  • I am in the process of building a home and I am at the stage of placing wires for the contacts at my windows and doors. Please recommend the appropriate gauge wire for the sensors. Is 22 gauge adequate. The longest wire runs will be about 50 feet. The 20 p comes with 8 hard wired zones. Do smoke detectors count as a zone? Thank you.

22 ga wire is the recommended guage for hardwired sensors. And yes, smoke detectors count as a zone on the system just like a door or window.
