Alula offers Dual Path Internet / Cellular Communicators like the IP BAT LTE that give home or business owners the ability to monitor their own alarm systems by receiving alarm and system event notifications via email, push notifications, and text. It also gives the user a moderate level of remote control of the system as well via the Alula Security app.

This service fee is for the yearly use of the Alula IP Communicators and is required for the device to function.

  • Can dual path Alulua be used with an AT&T 2GIG Edge panel along with an alarm.com subcription?

  • I have an existing DSC 1832 with Bat Connect A. The system is currently not monitored. I have the installer code. I like to get a monitoring service setup. what do I need to do?

    You would need this dual-path Alula service plan, plus our Central Station monitoring service plan. Once you purchase both, you will be sent email instructions to follow from there. 

  • I purchased a house with an Alula device. Can I set it up on WiFi to utilize the app? Is there a charge for this setup?

    Regardless of the setup, the Alula service would be required. Depending on which communicator/system you have would determine if you need the dual-path service or the IP only service. Generally anything newer will require the dual-path service. 

  • Does "Dual-Path" Alula security includes the cell service and SIM card? Which cell provider do you use?

    Yes, the service is inclusive of the cellular service and sim. As to which cell provider, that depends on the model of Alula communicator you have. Some are ATT and some are Verizon. I can tell you the new models that came out earlier this year (2024) have dual sims for ATT and Verizon and uses the strongest in your area between the two.

  • I have my own communicator. Do I need to use the Alula communicator?

    To be able to use Alula service, you must use an Alula communicator. If you have an existing communicator, whatever brand it is determines the services that you can use.
