The ADC-731B is Alarm.com's first completely wireless full-sized video camera. The V731B being battery-operated allows you to install it anywhere, indoors or outdoors, where wiring is not possible, making it a versatile and reliable option for anyone who wants Alarm.com cameras. The battery for the V731B is capable of lasting multiple months; however, it will vary greatly depending on use. Heavy traffic and dozens of triggered recordings per day will severely reduce the overall battery life. Luckily, however, the battery for the V731B can be charged in less than 5 hours, and Alarm.com has designed an optional solar panel that can be used to greatly extend the battery's life if positioned well. It is also possible to keep the battery charger plugged in while indoors if the camera is in a position that allows it. Be aware that while using the solar panel with the V731B, the camera will not allow the solar power to charge the battery above 80% of its maximum. This helps extend the long term life of the battery. The V731B also uses Alarm.com's new battery-saver video analytics features, which allow the camera to still trigger recordings when it detects humans, animals, and vehicles, even though the camera remains in a mostly dormant state to conserve battery. By default, the camera will send low battery alerts when the battery reaches 20% charge, and again 10%, so you'll know when it needs to be charged. 

In addition to the V731B's battery-related features, the majority of Alarm.com's normal camera features are still present, along with a feature unique to Alarm.com's most recent cameras. That being 2 night vision options, including regular greyscale IR for minimal battery usage, or you can use the built-in spotlight on the camera for color night vision if you desire. This camera can record 4MP HDR video up to max resolution of 2688x1520. The field of view is 140 degrees horizontal by 90 degrees vertical. The V731B is also capable of using 2-way audio for both audio recording during clips and having a conversation through the camera as needed. The features not present on the V731B include local 24/7 recording options due to the camera being battery-operated. Both onboard recording and SVR recording are incompatible with this camera model.
