About Alarm.com Services
Hey everybody, Jon Boroughs with Alarm System Store, and I'm here to talk to you today in this video about a new service that we're offering from a company called Alarm.com. Alarm.com is a cellular signal forwarding company, and they will take signals from your alarm panel and forward them to a central station. But they also offer remote service packages, and I'm gonna tell you a little bit about these here today. Alarm.com, they offer services that are really a lot cheaper then other competing services that we offer on the website. Save you a little money, you know, help you get a few nice features for your alarm system. The systems that you can use with this that we offer on the website are the DSC NEO, the DSC Touch, the DSC Impassa, and the 2GIG alarm systems. Now with the DSC NEO and the 2GIG alarm systems, you have to add cellular communicators to those to get them to interface with alarm.com. The DSC Touch and the DSC Impassa, a lot of those kits have the communicators already built in, so you don't have to add any additional equipment. They have different service levels for these, and and I'm gonna tell you a little bit about these here. I'll put them up on the screen one at a time while I'm talking about 'em so you can read through them yourselves. So let's go ahead and take a look at Level 1.
Level 1 of alarm.com is the simple cellular signal forwarding that you get, and it will take your signals...alarm signals from your alarm panel and send them to a central station monitoring service. That's all you get with Level 1. Now Level 2 of alarm.com, you'll get what you get on Level 1, but you also get the ability to arm and disarm the system remotely off property. You can view system status, event history change, user codes, change user permission levels, control multiple partitions, and access multiple systems from a single online account or mobile application. You'll also receive real-time email and mobile notifications when a specific door, window, or motion sensors are triggered, and it also includes geotagging services. Geotagging services are when let's say you've left the house and you forgot to arm your alarm system. Alarm.com will send you a notification when that happens so you know, "Hey, I gotta go back and arm my alarm system." Nice thing to have. Also, geotagging can be used with home automation systems as well. Say you're on a trip and you're coming back home. Based on your proximity to your house, alarm.com will help you adjust...automatically adjust your thermostat so it has a cozy temperature for you and your family when you get back to the house. Now let's go ahead and take a look at Level 3.
Level 3 is everything you get in Level 1 and Level 2, but it also includes the ability to monitor all non-alarm activity by specific door, window, and motion sensors, and you'll...you can also still get your...receive your email or text messages with specific door, window, and motion sensor. Detects any activity during unauthorized periods. Also includes 24/7 activity monitoring for up to 10 sensors. So, you know, a lot more on Level 3.
Level 4 is a little bit more than that, though. And I've been talking to a lot of people, and we've come to a consensus that if you're looking at Level 3, you might as well go ahead and spend the extra dollar and bump up to Level 4 and just get the whole shebang. Now Level 4 is everything in Levels 1, 2, and 3, but it also includes image sensor capability. Image sensors are motion detectors that have built-in cameras, and when motion is triggered on these motions, they will take snapshots, and you can access these remotely to see what's happening on the property. Also has the ability to include any of the following for no additional charge. You'll get wireless two-way voice to central station monitoring. You'll get weather reports to your panel, see severe alerts about garage doors, lights, locks, and thermostats, so a lot more of home automation interfacing there. Z-Wave devices are for home automation. I got a lotta questions about which form of home automation is being used, and it's Z-Wave. So all of the controllers are built into the antennas of the cellular communicators, they're built into the cellular communicators so you can use your Z-Wave devices and set them up inside of alarm.com in your user interface.
