Qolsys IQ5 PowerG Wireless Alarm AT&T QOL IQP5018

The all-new IQ Panel 5 from Qolsys breathes new life into the IQ Panel lineup. The IQ5 systems improve a number of features from the IQ Panel 4 line and have been redesigned to provide a more modular system. With the IQ5's new design having PowerG + wireless technology directly integrated into the main board, now all IQ5 systems offer 4x the PowerG range, and may be edited to meet your specific needs using optional daughter cards. Rather than having numerous models, the IQ5 now only has 2 primary models. The AT&T model, the IQP5018, and the Verizon model, the IQP5017. Both of these systems will be compatible off the shelf with any PowerG, PowerG +, and PowerG automation devices, so the only thing you have to decide is which cell provider offers the best signal in your area. From there, if you need a secondary SRF wireless card for legacy devices such as 319.5MHz, 345MHz, or 433MHz devices, you can purchase the exact SRF card you need. In addition, since the IQ5 has opened up both of its daughter card slots by embedding PowerG +, you're able to utilize the second card slot to incorporate an Ethernet daughter card for a wired IP connection. Other notable features of the IQ5 include a higher-quality portrait view camera for better photos and videos, the ability to use the IQ Installer app with all IQ5 systems, and a 12V power supply synchronous with other units like the IQ Remotes.

The IQ5, similar to the previous generations, offers up to 128 zones for security devices, whether they be PowerG, PowerG +, or Legacy SRF devices. The use of embedded PowerG + means that PowerG + devices will provide a number of new useful features as well, from battery level reporting to Over-The-Air updates. For Z-wave, the IQ5 systems can handle up to 167 total devices, which now work seamlessly with Z-Wave Long Range technology. The incorporation of Z-Wave Long Range means less cost and less hassle when setting up smart devices in your home by removing the need for extra repeaters and repeating Z-Wave devices. On top of that, the IQ5 can handle up to 100 PowerG Automation devices, which offer an even more impressive range and enhanced security over traditional Z-Wave.  In addition, up to 242 user codes can be plugged into the IQ5 systems, providing more than enough users to fit any commercial needs. The IQ5's new Qualcomm Dragonwing Processor and Android 14 OS improve the system's user interface experience, as well as offering double the NAND memory at a whopping 32 Gigabytes. The new front-facing 13MP camera offers a 120-degree wide-angle portrait view and can capture up to 4 minutes of video during an alarm condition. The IQ5 offers 2 front-facing speakers, 2 MEMs microphones, and an 85-decibel Piezo sounder, allowing crisp audio for answering Alarm.com doorbells, local system voice annunciation, and alarm sirens.

Lastly, for both self-monitoring and professional monitoring, the IQ5 systems come with built-in Alarm.com dual-path communicators. Using both cellular and IP communication offers improved speeds and a backup in the event that either communication path fails. By default, all IQ5s will come with both 2.4GHz and 5GHz Wi-Fi capability; however, as mentioned above, if you prefer a wired connection, you can use the Ethernet daughter card for a direct connection to your router. Utilizing Alarm.com with an IQ Panel 5 allows you to forward signals to a Central Station for monitoring, access and control the system via the Alarm.com app, and even remotely automate the smart devices setup in your home or business. When paired with Alarm.com cameras, the IQ 5 allows you to view cameras directly on the system's 7-inch touchscreen to easily check up on the perimeter of your home.
