DSC PG9914 Wireless PowerG Digital Pet-Immune PIR Motion Detector - *Latest firmware*
There are a couple of firmware versions of this motion floating around. This affects compatibility with some systems. The version we offer here is the latest version with full PowerG compatibility.
The DSC PG9914 wireless PowerG motion detector is a wireless motion detector for use with any DSC system that uses PowerG wireless such as their Iotega and PowerSeries Neo alarm systems. It is a dual-purpose detector because it not only monitors for movement events but also features a built-in temperature sensor as well. The PG9914 can send the room temperature readout to the DSC NEO so that it reads out on a compatible keypad.
The PG9914 features Fresnel and cylindrical lenses which provide superb motion detection and help cut down the instances of false alarms. The sensor will detect movement up to a 39' range if mounted in the optimum mounting position of between 7-8 ft. The PG9914 provides pet immunity for pets up to 85 lbs which means if a pet is 85 lbs or under; the detector will not activate if they move in front of it. This has LEDs built-in that will give you valuable feedback to help with installation. The LEDs will blink a certain color to let you know the strength of the communications between it and the main panel when you're placing the unit on the wall.
The sensor measures 3.27 x 2.4 x 1.66 in. It can be mounted and used in areas where the temperature range is between 14°F to 122°F. The PG9914 is powered by a 3V CR123A Lithium battery. These batteries will last 6-8 years before having to be replaced because of the battery saving technology built-in to each NEO PowerG wireless device. The motion has a wall and cover tamper to prevent would-be intruders from defeating the device by ripping it off of the wall.
