Can I program from an DSC ICN keypad?

You can program using an ICN keypad. We don’t recommend doing it though. This is because of the fixed display nature of the keypad. It doesn’t show a large portion of the information while programming. So you won’t be able to see what section you are in or what data you’ve input into the section. The exception to this is the programming sections that use toggle options. The screen will display the numbers 1-8 for the options that are active. However, even in those sections you will get less information than with an LCD style keypad that displays a brief description for each option. If you want to save yourself a lot of headaches as well as adding some functionality to your alarm system, we recommend having at least one LCD style keypad.
