GRI 2600 12 Volt DC Water Sensor

This GRI 2600 Water Sensor is ideal for anyone who has a hardwired system and lives in an area where flooding is a problem. Thousands of dollars of damage occurs each year because of flooding and now you can have a warning when this starts to happen.

This water-sensing contact can be set to detect a water level of as small as 1/16 of an inch. You will mount this to the wall near the floor so that when water, or any conductive non-flammable liquid, will bridge the contacts and trip the zone.

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

  • On the GRI 2600. Once it's been activated, how do you clear or reset it so it doesn't show as an open zone on the alarm? Thank You

    The GRI 2600 are designed to return to their standby state once the contacts are no longer shorted.  

  • This is an open contact, correct? How do I program this with a DSC pc1830, pk5500 keypad programmed in section 013 for closed contacts that do not EOL resistors.

    Since it is NO, you'll need to change the EOL settings of that zone. You can individually set each zone as EOL resistored or NC on the PowerSeries. Other than that you would just set it up as normal.

Tane WS-1  Water Sensor The WS-1 from TANE Alarm is an inexpensive flood / water sensor that can be used in areas where water can possibly leak and ruin the interior of building. The WS-1 is white in color and measures 2 1/2″ L × 1/2″ W × 1/2″ H. It is an open circuit and when water bridges the to probes it closes the loop.  The WS-1 will work on any 12VDC volt alarm system and if EOL resistors are used then the minimum voltage requirement of the system must be 6VDC. This cannot be used with wireless transmitters that accept simple hardwired switches. The WS-1 comes with a 6 inch jacketed leads and draws 6 mA of current.
