Winland TA-40 Fixed Temperature Switch The Winland TA-40 Fixed Temperature Switch is primarily used for temperature controlled structures that are in areas that get below freezing at times. The TA-40 will open a "normally closed" dry contact if the temperature falls below 39 degrees Fahrenheit (4 degrees Celsius), this means that it can be hooked to an existing alarm system or used in conjunction with a voice dialer to make a call or simply just hooked to a siren or light to notify the neighbors.
