Will animals set the Resolution Products RE204 off?

Animals will not be a worry using this device. It will only detect metal objects like cars and trucks passing by it. The metal objects passing by it will affect it's magnetic field and then a signal is sent. You can set this to chime only in the alarm so it won't act to set off the siren.
