Why would someone choose the 5814 over a 5816WMWH?

The 5814 Micro is smaller in physical design than the 5816WMWH and you'd use this if you didn't have enough space on the door or window you were placing it on.

These are referred to, as with some others, as low profile transmitters. They take up less space and are a little less noticeable making them more aesthetically pleasing.
