How many zones can a Lynx Plus accommodate?

The Lynx Plus L3000 is capable of handling up to 40 wireless zones. 25 of those will be used for wireless zones and the other 15 can be used for keychain remotes. Of course, if you're not using that many keychain remotes then you can just use those zones for more wireless devices. The Lynx Plus also has one hardwired zone that can accommodate simple, 2-wire normally closed switches. - Back To Top

What wireless devices can be used with the Lynx Plus?

The wireless devices that you'll use with the Lynx Plus L3000 are the Honeywell 5800 series of transmitters. This includes door and window transmitters, motion detectors, glass break detectors, smoke detectors and many more items. Any of the Honeywell wireless devices that you see on our site beginning with '58' are good to use. - Back To Top

Can you use hardwired devices on the Lynx Plus as it comes?

The Lynx Plus is capable of doing one hardwired zone. It can handle a short run of simple, normally closed two wire switches such as door or window contacts. These will wire directly into the panel itself on zone one. You can also use the 5816 wireless door window transmitters for simple, normally closed two wire switches as they have wiring terminals on their circuit boards. When using the 5816 for hardwired switches they will run on loop 1. - Back To Top

Can additional keypads be used with the Lynx Plus?

You can add wireless keypads to the Lynx Plus. We actually recommend doing this with any "all-in-one' unit such as the Lynx Plus because you dont' want the main Lynx panel by any doors. Someone could walk right in and smash it and then it's done.

You can add as wirless keypad such as the 5828V and this keypad would be just fine to put near any entrance door for quick and easy arming and disarming. - Back To Top

What kind of external sirens are available for the Lynx Plus?

The Lynx Plus has a wireless siren available to use. This unit is called the 5800WAVE and it plugs into any standard wall outlet. It is connected with the main Lynx panel by using what's called an 'RF House Code'. This siren also features a serial number that you can learn into a zone for the tamper switch. - Back To Top

Can a hardwired siren be used with the Lynx Plus?

You can use one hardwired with the Lynx Plus as it comes straight out of the box. This is the Wave-2EX. This is a low-current draw wired siren and will wire directly into the Lynx Plus panel.

If you want a more powerful wired siren then you most certainly can add one, but it will take using an additional power supply and relay to do so.

We have an additional power supply kit already built for you and all that needs added is the relay. The kit is the Power Supply Add-on Kit. - Back To Top

Can i self-monitor with the Lynx Plus?

The only way to self-monitor with the Lynx Plus is to use the built-in landline dialer and attach a phone line into it. The Lynx Plus is capable of dialing one number for self-monitoring purposes. - Back To Top
