Is there anything special I have to do to use the receiver on a Honeywell 6160RF?

There is nothing out of the box that you will have to do to make the receiver work on a 6160RF keypad. The only thing you'll need to do to the keypad when it's first powered up is to set the address of the keypad. After that you will just continue to hit the '*' key until the keypad boots up
