How does the tilt switch portion of the DSC WS4965 work?

<Back

The tilt switch is used in place of the reed switch. The tilt switch will be in an open state any time the transmitter is not vertical. This is most commonly used on overhead doors.

To activate the tilt switch mode you will need to take off J3. Optionally, J2 can be taken off to give the transmitter an additional 1 minute delay. It will not send the open signal for 1 minute and then it would potentially be followed by the regular entry delay for the system. This gives an opportunity for a longer than normal delay that could be very useful for a garage.
