How do I program for a 2-wire smoke detector on a DSC 1616, 1832, or 1864 system?

Since 2 wire smoke detectors are only connected to PGM 2, the programming for them is very straightforward.

1. Enter programming with *8 followed by the installer code.
2. Enter section 009.
3. The first 2 numbers that appear here are for PGM 1. We don’t need to change these so you can push the right arrow key twice to scroll to PGM 2.
4. Here we’ll enter 04 for the 2 wire smoke PGM definition.
5. Press # to exit out of programming.

Keep in mind that all 2 wire smoke detectors must be wired in parallel to PGM 2 and Aux +.
