What do I get with alarm monitoring service?

When you signup for alarm monitoring your alarm system is set up to send signals to a central station. When the central station receives those signals; the operators will call whatever authorities are needed to repsond to the specific signals being sent. - Back To Top

Will any sensor on my alarm system be covered?

With our monitoring service; whatever you have attached into the system will be monitored. No matter if it's a burglary or fire device. We can't speak for other monitoring compnaies. Just our own. - Back To Top

What means of communication can be used to send signal to a monitoring station?

You can use traditional phone line to have your alarm send signals to the central station. This is the cheapest option. You can also, if you don't have a phoneline, use a cellular communicator. This has a higher yearly fee because part of the price pays for the cellular data the communicator will use. You can also use internet communicators. These send the signal over the internet to the central station. Some internet communicators carry the extra fee you'd pay just like the cellular communicators because they send signal to a forwarding station first before going to central station. Then there are some internet communicators that have a lower fee because the signal gets sent straight from your alarm system to the central station. - Back To Top

Will I receive a call if there’s an alarm?

If your alarm system sends a burglary signal then you will get a call. The central station will call you to verify the burglary alarm. If you don't answer the phone or whoever answers the phone can't provide the pass code then they will call the police. Fire signlas are different. For liability reasons; if the central station receives a fire signal from your panel then they will immdeiately call the fire department. - Back To Top

Can i get a certificate to present to my insurance company?

We can provide you with a certificate that you can present to your insurance company so that you might receive a discount on your home insurance. To do this we would have to see recent signals from burglary and fire devices within the past month. - Back To Top

Will I be able to talk to someone at the monitoring station if I need to?

The only time you will really talk with someone at central station would be if they are calling you about an alarm or if you call in to put your account on test so that you can send test signals to make sure your system is working properly.

If you need billing questions answered, tech support (if you bought the system from us) or activating your system then you'd be speaking with us. - Back To Top

How often do I have to pay the monitoring fees?

We charge yearly so you would pay your monitoring renewal every year. Most places charge month to month, but we get ther service cheaper if we bill year to year. - Back To Top

Will my account be automatically renewed at the end of the term?

We don't automatically take a payment from your bank account or credit card at your yearly time of renewal. What happens is that we will send you an invoice for renewal and then you will pay the renewal to continue the next year of service. - Back To Top

Does someone come to my house to set this up?

Since we are a DIY alarm dealer; we have no field agents to send to your home to set up the monitoring. Activation is done over the phone with you and a tech agent.

If you're using a landline and the system is one we support then we will have you open up the communications so that we may dial in and download the monitoring communication information into the alarm system. If you're using a cellular communicator then we activate that using an identifying number on the cellular communicator to activate it. The tech will then walk you through the programming to make the alarm panel speak to the cellular radio. - Back To Top
