Alarm.com ADC-VDB770 WiFi Video Doorbell

The ADC-VDB770 Video Doorbell is a magnificent addition to Alarm.com's line of video products. This wifi doorbell has many advanced features and video analytics making it a top-of-the-line product. It can be added to an existing Alarm.com residential interactive plan or video service to give you access to your front door anytime, from anywhere. This doorbell can even be used in conjunction with Alarm.com's Z-wave automation to give you access to doors, locks, and lights straight from the doorbell call screen on the Alarm.com app.

This doorbell camera combo is a powerhouse of technology that features improved 2-way audio for real-time communication, full HD 1440x1920 video resolution, a 150°V/115°H FOV, HDR for incredible image quality and even works up to 15ft in the dead of night with infrared night vision. The camera has many image adjustments that can be made, such as brightness, contrast, sharpness, saturation, and exposure, so that you can customize the camera to work perfectly for you. The VDB770 uses video analytics to improve its ability to detect people so that you have fewer false alarms. You can watch this camera straight from your Alarm.com app, get notifications before someone even rings the doorbell, and record video and audio clips anytime the camera's video analytics detect motion. This doorbell also features a touchless doorbell option so that your guests can ring the doorbell without ever having to touch the button.

The power module for this doorbell hooks directly into your existing doorbell chime. You need to have a transformer with a minimum of 16VAC and a minimum power of 10VA. Then hook the VDB770 directly into where your old doorbell was using the correctly angled mounting bracket. Once the new doorbell is installed, find it using a Wi-Fi-capable device such as a smartphone or computer and enjoy the benefits of this incredible video doorbell.

IMPORTANT: The ADC-VDB770 can be added to an existing alarm.com interactive plan using the "Doorbell with Video Analytics" service. QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • Can we replace an Alarm.com Sky Doorbell with the VD770? Do we still need to use the power adapter or would the current sky bell system be fine, & just change out the cameras?

Yes, the ADC-VDB770 can be used in place of the skybell doorbells, but you will need to install the power adapter as that is how the 770 utilizes your indoor chime. The only thing to consider when making this change is that the 770 uses Alarm.com's video analytics, so be sure to check with your service provider to see if they charge extra for that. If you are one of our Alarm.com customers, the upgrade to a video analytics doorbell requires no additional charge.
