  • Is this 135 degree temperature range model suitable for a attached garage in the middle Atlantic area? I know it should not use used an attic.

    It is generally recommended that garages use the 194 degree heat detectors due to excess heat from recently parked vehicles, especially in warmer climates.

  • can i use these as stand alone, power with 120v and use relay to activate a horn?

    No. These are non powered detectors that simply connect to a zone detection circuit of an alarm panel.

  • Is the 5601 heat sensor a normally open contact (closes at the trip point) or the opposite? If it's normally closed, which heat sensor would be NO?

    These heat detectors are all normally open (NO) devices.
