Tane PPD-11WH Pull-Apart Disconnect Sensor

The PPD-11WH is a wired, normally-closed loop, pull-apart contact from Tane. This contact is great for protecting gates, lawn equipment, shed doors, or anything around your property that you can run a wire to. With its small lightweight design, the possibilities for use are only limited by your imagination.

When the contacts are put together the loop shows closed, and when separated, reports an open signal to the system it is connected to. Either side of the contact can be wired to the panel, and zip-ties or screws can be used to mount the contact. 

These contacts work particularly well with interactive services that provide sensor activity monitoring, like Alarm.com. Using interactive sensor monitoring allows you to be notified when the switch is opened, or pulled apart, rather than setting off an alarm. This would be most effective when covering a gate leading into a business lot, or if the kids happen to be playing on a mower in the shed or garage.
