Interlogix TX-1012-0101 Micro Crystal Door/Window Sensor

The Interlogix TX-1012-0101 is a micro-switch that can be used in installations where space is an issue. The size of the TX-1012-0101 makes it perfect for placing on a smaller door jamb space or a window sill that is very narrow. The sensor measures 1.9 in L x 1.0 in W x 0.5 in D. This makes these handy to use in drawers, cupboards, safes and anything that can be opened and closed. The TX-1012-0101 is powered by a 3VDC lithium battery. The battery will get you a 5-8 year lifespan before having to be replaced. This is due to the crystal technology used in this Interlogix transmitter. Whatever Interlogix security system you use these; you'll be notified by the panel when the battery is getting low so you can change them out before they outright die on you. You will mount the transmitter by using either the provided mounting screws or the double sided adhesive tape. You may use one or both so as to assure maximum adherence.

The TX-1012-0101 transmitter can be learned into any Interlogix system that is capable of using wireless devices such as the NetworX series with a wireless receiver, the Simon XT, Simon XTi-5 or the AdvisorOne. In most of these alarm systems you can learn in the sensor by going into programming and enter the ESN (electronic serial number) in manually or you can trip the sensor so that it transmits its ESN to the panel.

Another feature of this wireless transmitter is its supervision. Once every hour the transmitter will send its battery level and status to the main panel so that you don’t run into failures without knowing. Your Interlogix security system, if there are any problems, will notify you through the display and notification noises of the keypads. You can then either replace the battery or troubleshoot what may be wrong with the sensor.

Keep in mind, as with most wireless devices, that you will only be able to assign one of these to a zone. Most hardwired devices can be run together on one zone, but the wireless devices will take a zone a piece so make sure your Interlogix system has enough zone capability to handle what you want to add.
