DSC NEO CD8080IVZ Cellular Communicator w/ Image Sensor Support

The DSC CD8080IVZ is a cellular alarm communicator especially made for the new DSC NEO security systems. The CD8080IVZ is Alarm.com ready and communicates over the Verizon cellular network. It adds Z-Wave capabilities so that you can use home automation and energy management features as well as interactive security and video monitoring.

This can be used as the primary communicator or as a backup to a landline in case of dialer failure. The CD8080IVZ uses the HSPA communications path of the cellular network. You can use 2-way voice verification with this communicator. The signals that are sent out from the communicator are 128-bits AES encrypted and you can be assured that your signal transmission is secure.

These are compatible with the DSC NEO HS2016/ HS2032/ HS2064/ HS2128 control panels. They are not backwards compatible with the DSC 1616/1832/1864. They connect to the main board via a PCLink cable. You can get a PCLink extender if you don't want to connect this directly at the box.

One more thing about the CD8080IVZ is that it has the capability to work with the new NEO image sensors. The image sensors are basically motion detectors that have built in cameras. When the motion is tripped; there is a camera in it that takes still pictures of the area where it is installed. If you have Alarm.com service; you can view these pictures when you are not at home.
