DSC PG9312 PowerG Outdoor Wireless Door Window Contact w/Aux Input

The DSC PG9312 is a sturdy, durable wireless transmitter that can be used to protect an outside gate, doorway, or window.

The PG9312 measures 4.12 x 2 x 1.37 inches and weighs 5.4 oz. and the color is black. The transmitter is powered by two 1.5 V lithium batteries which will last, on average, about 5 years before needing to be replaced. You can also replace the batteries without removing the device from its mounting spot. Because of the PowerG wireless technology; this transmitter can transmit over long ranges making it ideal for larger properties. The PG9312 is IP66 certified to withstand extreme outdoor conditions and will weather the toughest storm with its durable outer casing. Its surface is also paintable so you can have it match the surrounding mounting surface. The transmitter also allows for a wider gap tolerance so as to cut down on false alarms.

The PG9312 also features a built-in set of wiring terminals for those who might have existing wired sensors in the location and still want to utilize them for alarm systems. The auxiliary inputs will allow wiring of simple 2-wire normally-closed alarm switches so you could use this to wire in an existing door or window contact for example. You could also possibly use this for outdoor devices that feature a set of dry contacts that would trip and need to relay the signal back to the main control panel such as a driveway alert or photo beam detector.

The PG9312 is compatible with the DSC PowerSeries NEO alarm systems as well as the Qolsys IQ Panel 4 as both have the ability to use the PowerG wireless devices
