The Alarm.com ADC-V723X is an outdoor Wi-Fi camera that is used with Alarm.com Video Services. The V723X uses H.264 video compression to deliver a high quality recording of any video event. It also has a maximum picture resolution of 1920 x1080 and is high definition quality making sure you'll be able to pick out detail.

The ADC-V723X features a 1/2.7" CMOS 2.1 Megapixel Image Sensor and a 3.0 mm lens that is capable of a 117° field of view. Not only is this camera effective in the daylight hours, but it also has a night vision capacity of viewing up to 40ft. in total darkness. The camera has 802.11 b/g/n Wi-Fi connectivity and operates on the 2.4 & 5 GHz frequencies. You also have some image adjustment features with the ADC-V723X including the ability to flip the image and to adjust brightness, contrast, saturation, sharpness, and exposure through your Alarm.com interface. The ADC-V723X is waterproof and dust-tight and can be used in temperatures ranging from -13°F - 113°F. It measures in at 2.5 x 2.5 x 4.5”.

The ADC-V723X features the Alarm.com Video Analytics which allows you to receive snaps when a human, animal, or vehicle is detected so you can see what was captured and when. Video analytics also allows the setting of virtual tripwires and fenced-in areas to provide precise video clips the moment it occurs. You can also use the sensing mode of this camera to trigger ZWave events like turning on an outside light when an area is breached. This is a true advantage over regular cameras and their versions of motion sensing. Keep in mind you must have an alarm.com video package that includes video analytics to take advantage of these features.

In addition to being able to use Alarm.com's video analytics, the ADC-V723X is also compatible with Alarm.com's 24/7 Onboard Recording using an SD card in the camera. You will need either the Pro Video with Analytics plan (for up to 2 onboard recording cameras), or you may use the Premium video package to give all compatible cameras the ability to Onboard record. You may use an SD card with up to 512GB, and the recommended SD card brands are Western Digital, Sandisk High Endurance, or Micron Industrial.

The Onboard Recording feature of this camera requires an SD card, the recommended cards can be found here: Surveillance-grade Micro SD cards

QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

Ask a Question
  • How long is the power cord? Am I able to add a camera to my DSC/Alarm.com system on my own, or do I need to involve the original installer?

The power adapter is 10 ft long. Assuming you have an alarm.com video account, yes you can add and remove cameras without an installer. If you need video service we offer it here:

  • My brother has the same camera and asked me to help him hook it up. We are hoping to simply plug it in and download an app that will allow him to connect his phone to the camera. Is this possible without purchasing any service package??

All alarm.com cameras require a service package to work. The service fee covers the cost associated with the app and cloud services / infrastructure that are provided with the service plan.

  • is it possible to only run the camera on 5ghz and how would you do that

According to support this is largely dependent upon your specific router and router settings. If you can enroll it only on a 5ghz ssid, that is where it would run. Many routers however will use one ssid and direct usage to whichever frequency has the best signal throughput.

  • Does this camera accept an SD card. If yes what type and size is best

It does. The known compatible micro sd cards are:

    We recommend:
Western Digital Purple Surveillance Grade Micro SD Card
SanDisk High Endurance is also compatible

64GB up to 512GB. A min of 128GB is recommended. For estimated recording times for each of Micro SD Cards we carry click the link.
