The Pistol Pad by Tane

The Pistol Pad by Tane is another take on a panic button that we are now offering for home protection. The pistol pad allows you to have a gun at the ready without the worry of a burglar or child getting to it first. We have all heard stories about people getting shot by burglars with their own guns or a child accidentally shooting themselves with their parents guns.

This handy little resting place for your favorite firearm can be used to keep accidents from occurring. The Pistol Pad is connected to a wireless transmitter that has terminals for NC/NO 2 point wired devices. The transmitters that we sell on site will work for this purpose. These transmitters include the Honeywell 5816WMWH or the DSC WS4945. You take the base of the pad and wire the wireless transmitter into the base of the pad. You then enroll the wireless transmitter into your alarm panel, replace the base and you good to go.

The pad has a circular key slot that can be used to "disarm" the pad so you can safely remove the gun without setting off the alarm. Place the gun on the pad, put the magnet contact through the handle and turn the key and the gun is safe. Whenever the gun is removed without disarming it first; it will set off a panic alarm that will sound your siren and, if you have monitoring service, bring the police. You can set up a code of "Gun Has Been Deployed" for the zone that the pad is learned into so that central station can inform the police of this when they make the call. The Pistol Pad also features a tamper switch on the bottom which prevents anyone from picking it up without a panic condition being sent.
