I have Installed many different Systems. This is the first one that did not require a lot of time to set up and program to the customers needs. I will recommend this system to all my c ustomers from now on it is comparable to other systems sold by the other guy

Set up with Manual	December 20, 2008

Must read manuals before started it.
I recommend to adjust "Siren Volume" first. before set up the sensor.
Level 7(Max) scared me while I tested.
I became panic and I only could press "Disarm" but I could not press code . I removed the battery first day, otherwise I had no idea how to stop this.

Also I could not find the "System program" on the panel after sensor test. Next day, I was really careful to clear all of sensor program and " Windows+doors" light everything.
After I could disarm "Doors +windows" button, I saw " System program" on the menu again.
I used ear plugs until I was sure.

Now I am preparing to add Phone call system.

I recommend again, before start to set up sensor, volume level should be adjusted first.

Now it is speaking " Front door open, I minimized the volume." I hung the panel where the place was not wide.

It is enough to listen to.

it is working right.

Installation was easy enough and I do love the system, but I did need a little tech support when it came to setting it up.

Someone I talked to in support from alarmsystemstore sent me a "Quick Start" guide that is not part of the GE manual that made it all really easy though. Without that I think I would have been a little lost..

I was in the market for a wireless alarm and had been looking at GE's Simon 3 and a visonic powrmax for a while when I stumbled across alarmsystemstore selling this updated newer version the Simon called the simon XT. The XT model took me off the fence between a powermax and the older simon 3 and I bought the deluxe kit here and I couldn't be happier.

This system was a breeze to install and setup and I have been very happy with it. We had an ADT system put in our previous house because we didn't really think of installing one ourself back then, but I am very happy we did this time. Since this was my first installation of an alarm, I can't really have nothing to compare it too, but I can say my wife could have done this one and she's not very DIY oriented.

As for the features of this systems, it certainly blows my old ADT system away. It's got a nice display readout telling you what is going on and also will verbally announce door openings and closings. The nicest feature for me is the built in voice dialer. Because this system can call my wifes and my cell phone directly for alarms we no longer have to pay ADT $30 a month. This thing will pay for itself in less than a year!
